Little Paws Protection Plan
Aren’t puppies just the cutest?! We love being able to smoosh their faces and still dream of being able to bottle up that amazing puppy smell! But most importantly, our team loves being able to care for your new arrival like it were our own. We can’t wait to share the photos and videos with you and hear the funny stories about what they have gotten up to lately! We will be there through the highs and lows and support you in every way we can.
We know that along with this cuteness overload, can come sleepless and interrupted nights. There might be some re-decorating of furniture… or toys… or shoes… or power cords… There may be toileting battles that you think you have won – only to find out that they found somewhere else to fight that battle! There is also anxiety to navigate, and uncertainty in new situations or meeting new people. Then add on the vaccination boosters that are required, what to feed them as they grow up, making sure the microchip details are updated, desexing, figuring out the mass of worming, flea and tick treatments and what you should know, and need to know, and maybe don’t really understand so you might think about that one later…
It’s a lot. We get it.
We have pets as well, and they were puppies at one stage, which means we have all been through this struggle. Armed with the knowledge of how confusing and sometimes stressful it can be having a puppy, along with our core value of providing exceptional patient care, we have done the homework and taken the stress and confusion out of preventative care for your new fur-family member.
Our Little Paws Protection Plan allows you to ‘set and forget’ your pup’s preventative care but also understand the value and importance of protecting your pet. We have simplified it to the products that matter and reduced the burden on you of having to remember when something needs to be given, what it is, and then the struggle to give it!
If your puppy is 10-12 weeks, you can start with Puppy Bundle 1! Have you visited us with your puppy a little later on? Don’t worry, you can start Puppy Bundle 2, which begins at 4 months of age. We also cater for teenagers too! The Teenager Bundle starts at 6 months of age.

Paralysis Ticks
Paralysis ticks are tiny parasites but have a deadly consequence! One small tick can cause a range of scary and dangerous signs in your pet, and can be fatal if not treated! Treatment involves intensive veterinary care, and the costs can quickly add up. Prevention is cheaper and easier than treatment! There are several products on the market to prevent paralysis ticks from giving you heartache – but the golden rule is that nothing is 100%!
We recommend Bravecto chews monthly in young puppies as their growth is rapidly changing. Once fully grown, your dog can have an injection which lasts for 12 months!
Heartworm
The next most deadly parasite that we need to protect against is heartworm. Heartworm is spread by mosquitos – so the threat is always there! Heartworm can be fatal, and also requires an expensive and intensive treatment regime. Similar to paralysis ticks, prevention is cheaper and easier than treatment!
We recommend simple and easy heartworm injections to help prevent this disease. This preventative needs to be given as a few boosters while your puppy is growing, but it will become an injection that lasts for 12 months once their weight has stabilised! As a puppy, they will need an injection at 10-12 weeks and 6 months of age to provide complete protection.
Intestinal Worms
Intestinal worms can wreak havoc in the bodies of young puppies and can infect humans too! A good quality, reliable intestinal worming treatment will keep your puppy protected from the harmful effects of worms and keep you and your family safe too.
We recommend Popantel Allwormer tablets monthly in young puppies. As adults, dogs may be treated every 3 months to prevent intestinal worm infections.

- We will pre-book each appointment in the Little Paws Protection Plan, so you can plan ahead and know your pup’s care won’t get forgotten in the craziness that we call life!
- Improved socialisation in a safe environment means you are setting up your puppy for an amazing life, with reduced anxiety levels and an improved ability to cope in new situations! This will have a massive impact on your stress levels as well!
- Bundles must be used within the allocated time frame, otherwise they will expire. Bundles cannot be transferred to another pet or client, and are non-refundable.
